my Story

Hi, I'm Elle.

I used to think life was fairly simple.

Work hard.

Build a career.

Save for the future.

Everything would fall into place.

But life rarely sticks to the plan.

Over the years, I've experienced burnout, managed a chronic health condition and, more recently, stepped away from my career to care for my ageing and disabled parents.

Like many people, I found myself trying to hold everything together while wondering how I was supposed to build a different future at the same time.

The hardest part wasn't knowing something needed to change.

It was finding the time, energy and mental space to make that change happen.

That's when I realised something.

I wasn't looking for a perfect routine or a magic solution.

I was looking for ways to make everyday life feel a little easier.

So I did what I've always done when faced with a problem.

I became curious.

With a background in psychology and occupational therapy, I started digging into the science behind why life can feel so overwhelming and, more importantly, what actually helps.

I explored psychology, neuroscience, behaviour change, habits, decision fatigue and everyday systems. More recently, I've added AI to the mix, not because it's the latest trend, but because it can remove real mental load from everyday life.

Some people use AI to write essays and code (p.s what are we all coding?!).

Anyway, I use it to simplify life.

To organise my thoughts.

To plan meals.

To write awkward emails.

To understand complicated information.

To break overwhelming tasks into manageable steps.

To create a little more breathing room.

That's what you'll find here.

Practical ideas, simple systems and evidence-informed advice to help make everyday life feel easier.

Some articles are about habits.

Some are about health.

Some are about work.

Some are about money.

Some are about AI.

On the surface, they might seem unrelated.

They're not.

Everything I share answers the same question:

Will this genuinely help someone feel less overwhelmed?

If the answer is yes, it belongs here.

You'll also find honest stories from my own life, because I don't believe you need to have everything figured out before you can help someone else.

I'm still learning.

I'm still adapting.

I'm still finding better ways to live and work.

If something I discover saves you time, reduces your mental load or simply helps life feel a little easier, then sharing it was worth it.

Thank you for being here.

I hope you leave with a few practical ideas, a little more clarity and the confidence that small changes really can make everyday life feel easier.
